Alissa & Devin

It was a sunny Saturday at one of my favorite venues. I walked through to see a beautiful archway set up outside and s'mores placed all around the tables. After hearing all of Alissa and Devin's wedding plans, I had been really looking forward to this day. Bonfires, s'mores, and sparklers are a few of my favorite summer things!

This day was so romantic right from the start when I saw that Devin wrote a surprise note on the bottom of Alissa's wedding shoes. There were so many sweet moments to capture and when they exchanged gifts on the corner of the building, I knew the moment they first saw each other would be incredible. Sure enough, Devin shed a few tears as he watched his bride walking down the aisle.

I am so happy to share these memories with them and I can't wait to show them the rest. Here are a few of my favorites so far!

Georgianne & Nick

I love seeing people I know get married, much less having the honor to be a part of their wedding day. When Georgianne reached out asking me to be her wedding photographer, I couldn't wait to reconnect with her. She and I played many sports together when we were younger, and it's so cool to see how we have both grown and matured over the years.

Everything about this day was so simple, from the gorgeous shoes and details, to how organized and easy going everyone was. Nick and Georgainne wanted to take the traditional route and decided to wait until the ceremony for their first look. You could tell how excited they were to first see each other, and if you scroll down, you may even tear up when you see how happy Georgianne was as she walked down the aisle.

There were so many beautiful moments to capture on this day, and I am thrilled to deliver the final gallery to them soon! But for now, I'll share a few sneak peeks while they are enjoying their honeymoon.

Ann and Chris | Engagement

Another beautiful summer day, another engagement session. My engagement sessions have started to pick up now that the weather has been consistent. I normally do many of my engagement sessions during the fall but there is something about the greens that I just love!

I met Ann and Chris at Highbanks Metro Park, which is probably the most popular location of choice for my clients when it comes to photo sessions. Although I had been to this park many times before, I had not been to the specific spot they had picked out. I love shooting in new locations, so I was excited to show up with a new challenge. We had so much fun on this perfect evening and I'm so excited for their wedding that is right around the corner!

Ben & Rachel | Engagement

I was so excited to meet up with Ben and Rachel at the Park of Roses on such a beautiful evening. To their surprise, this was actually my first time ever visiting the park. As I pulled in to the park, I could smell all of the different roses all the way from the parking lot. I'm a sucker for flowers so I was in heaven during this engagement session.

We had a beautiful night, and even though the park was a bit crowded, we met some cute pups and ran into some other photographer friends shooting engagement sessions as well. I was so excited to deliver their photos and I can't wait for their wedding in November!

Lizzie & Josh | Weddings

Lizzie and Josh were one of the first couples I met with when I started my photography business. I am so thankful for them and the amount of trust they had in me to capture their wedding day. I had been looking forward to this day for a long time, because these two are just so stinking adorable! Their engagement session is still one of my favorites to this day. They were just so genuine in front of the camera and you could tell they were meant to be together.

After the drive to Findlay, I met up with Lizzie and the girls while they finished getting ready. This was such as fun group and I knew immediately this day was going to be awesome. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and watching Josh see Lizzie as she walked down the aisle was priceless. Yes, I still get teary eyed multiple times at weddings! We had perfect weather for portraits outside and found some really cool alleyways for a quick photoshoot before the reception. As we were heading back to the venue, I noticed a parking garage with rooftop access. I mean, does it get any better than rooftop sunset photos?! It wasn't very hard to convince Lizzie and Josh to sneak out of the reception for a few more photos. I'm sure they saw the excitement on my face. It was absolutely stunning and I'm so glad we were able to make time for it!

Lizzie and Josh, thank you so much for letting me a part of your beautiful day! I am excited to share the photos with you soon, but for now here are some of my favorites!

Olivia & Jacob

I was so honored when Olivia asked me to be her wedding photographer last summer. This was going to be a special wedding for me, because Olivia and I have known each other for over 10 years. We played club volleyball together throughout high school and I specifically remember when Olivia and Jacob started dating. It was so amazing to follow their relationship over the years and to see how they still have the same passion as they did when they first started dating over 9 years ago.

Showing up to shoot the details and getting ready photos is always so exciting, but this was a special case. I had the chance to reconnect with some old friends I have not seen in awhile. One of the first things I notice when I walked into the hotel room was the balloons in the living area. It wasn't until I walked over to the balloons when I noticed there had been handwritten notes on them from each of the bridesmaids. What a cute idea, right?! The messages were so sweet and I loved to see all of the support from the bridesmaids.

Olivia and Jacob decided to do their first look at the Statehouse and I was so excited to witness this moment. I have a connection with all of my couples, but knowing these two for 10 years just made it even more special. They were so happy to finally see each other and to celebrate the day together. You'll see from the photos how much fun we had! We stopped at Buckeye Bourbon House for a drink and then returned to the Statehouse for some more bridal party photos. The ceremony was perfect and hearing Olivia and Jacob read off their vows to each other was a moment I will never forget. I am so happy I could celebrate this day with them and I can't wait to watch them share many more happy years together!
