Pinnacle Golf Club Wedding | Kassi & Ben

Kassi and Ben found me back when I was first starting up my photography business about two years ago. We immediately knew we were a perfect fit for each other. They had a longer engagement which only made me even more excited for their wedding day, because I had grown to know them pretty well. I scheduled a few sessions with them, photographed their family photos in the fall, and even ran into Kassi at her Bachelorette Party!

You might not be able to tell it in these photos, but man it was a warm one outside. We made time for sunset photos which worked out perfectly because once the sun set, it finally cooled down a little for us. There was also a surprise visitor at the reception for all of the Buckeye Fans. Brutus made an appearance and got the party started out on the dance floor. Everything about this day was planned out perfectly. These two were laughing all day and shared the sweetest moments together. You can tell how happy they make each other and you can see it in their eyes in these photos. Watching Ben have tears streaming down his face as his bride made her way down the aisle was almost too much to handle! I was teary eyed the whole ceremony and so happy to celebrate the evening with them!

Schiller Park Engagement Session

After a what seemed like a week straight of rain, we had the most beautiful evening for an engagement session. It seems so rare to have a night with almost no humidity here in Columbus, but when we have those nights, you can bet I'll be out with my camera somewhere. Turns out that I already had an engagement session scheduled at one of my favorite spots here in Columbus. Schiller Park is a great location to shoot at because there is such a variety of backdrops! These two were so much fun to work with and I can't wait for their wedding day right around the corner!

Brookshire Columbus Wedding - Grant & Katelyn

My first and only double header of the year was so worth it! Sunday was another beautiful day for an outdoor wedding and I was so excited to be back at this gorgeous venue. Dusty blue seems to be a popular color this year and I can't say I'm mad about it. I absolutely loved the color scheme Katelyn and Grant picked out for their big day. These romantic tones are probably my favorite and having baby's breath bouquets was the perfect touch. These two were nothing but smiles all day and really made my job easy! Fun fact about Grant & Katelyn is they got married on their dating anniversary.

Check out some of my favorites so far from their day!

Worthington Hills Country Club Wedding - Rob & Kaleigh

My second wedding of the year was a success! Not only do I love getting to know my couples, but it is even more special sharing this day with people I already know. I was so honored when Rob & Kaleigh asked me to capture their wedding day, and let me tell you, we had a blast. I've know Rob & Kaleigh for a few years now through my best friend, who is the bride's sister.  Many laughs and happy tears were shed, from myself included, and we had a beautiful outdoor ceremony.  Although it was a bit toasty, we honestly could not have asked for a more perfect day! This was such as fun group to work with and I am so excited to share some of their photos! Check out a few of my favorites below and see the amazing vendors that made everything come together.

April Fools Proposal

A couple of weeks ago I was able to capture my second proposal! Although I would consider weddings to be pretty high pressure, most of the big moments during a wedding I can expect and be ready for. Proposals, however, are way more unpredictable. Plans can change in minutes, and as a photographer, you need to attempt to not look like a weirdo casually following people with your camera. It sure is a thrill and I was so happy to help out an old high school friend capture his big moment!

Below is their story told by the future Mrs...

"Zak and I met freshman year of college in 2013 after one of my sorority sisters asked if I needed a date to our winter formal since she was going with one of his teammates from the soccer team. I said yes, and she sent a picture of the team and asked which one I wanted to go with. I picked Zak out of that picture, and we started talking and hanging out a little before the formal, hitting it off immediately.

For the next few months, we talked on and off but neither of us were sure we were ready for a steady relationship. When we started hanging out and going on dates more and more, we were in that phase where I wasn't sure if we were "exclusive" so I'd bug Zak about whether or not we were going to start being each other's significant others. On April 1st of 2014, we were hanging out at his apartment at school when he asked me to be his girlfriend. For a split second my eyes lit up, but knowing Zak's history of jokes and pranks I was quickly brought to reality of the date: April Fools. I was immediately so embarrassed when he started laughing and I knew it really was a joke. So mean right?! Luckily he apologized, and a couple months later we were officially together. (He's matured a lot since then!)

Fast-forward to April 1st 2018; Zak and I have been together for nearly four years, both graduated college with honors and have careers we love. After church with both of our family's, we headed to brunch at my favorite spot with views of the Columbus skyline and the Scioto River. My mom asked to get a picture of my sister and I down by the water, so we walked down the hill when everyone stopped walking and Zak went ahead of the group. When we got to the water, Zak said "Remember what I did to you four years ago? I hope this makes up for it." He got down on one knee and asked if I'd be with him forever. Needless to say had I forgave him since then, and I said YES!"

Greece

Although this trip got off to a rocky start, (bad weather, cancelled flights... you know the drill), I can definitely say that I cannot wait to go back to Greece. From the sunsets, to the food, and bee bopping around the country with some of my favorite people, this trip was everything I hoped for and more! Greece was a photographer's dream. The beautiful blue domes and the bright white buildings made every picture feel like a postcard. Even though I did not take as many photos as I would have liked, I was just trying to live my best life... I mean, can you blame me?

Get ready for a wonderful mixture of poorly lit iPhone photos and selfies from my camera to show part of our incredible experience.
